The Big Climb Branding
I created branding for a short film. Inspired by the themed title cards in Pixar films. The story follows a young girl following her dream and inspiring others by climbing in a city center.
After initial sketches we narrowed it down to three options to refine further. We liked versions that locked the letters together and I worked on trying to incorporate the city into the text as well.
The Final Version
The final version used the type as a staircase but it felt like its corners were too clean and it had lost its handmade feel that the the client was looking for. I remedied this by hand tracing over my final design to add some character and roundness back in.
